July 8, 1997 Today we spent some time observing new caterpillars. It is so much fun watching them eat; and they eat so much! And they grow so fast! We filled out an "Amazing Insects" Observation Sheet on our new caterpillars. You can see it here. You will also see a picture of a butterfly that Katie colored. She has colored a picture of what she thinks the Monarch butterfly will look like after it hatches. We spend a lot of time reviewing all of the different things we have learned about caterpillars. Katie and I are both excited to see what happens with these caterpillar's.
