[ Spotlighting | Minutes from ME | Puzzler | Thisday | BioPoint ]

volume four, issue five

May, 1998

Long before airplanes flew from continent to continent, the oceans united our worlds. Reaching from shore to shore, the oceans link cultures and people. Celebrate with the world as the 1998 International Exposition begins in Lisbon, Portugal. "The Oceans - A Heritage for the Future" showcases exhibits from more than 145 countries. This month's "Spotlight" is just one small part of those exhibits.

After exploring the oceans, dry off and try the "Group Graphing" activities that you'll find in "Minutes from ME." Use your graphing software to see numbers in new ways.

The "BioPoint" students have finished their dissections and have taken their lab practical exam. Take a look and see how you would do.

The "Puzzler" this month also celebrates the ocean. Set sail and find your way through the mazes.

Remember to honor Mom and those who serve our country this month. "Thisday" has resources for Mother's Day, Memorial Day, and Cinco de Mayo. Also, take a moment to embrace space on May 21, the designated Space Day.
