Minutes from ME

I watched the Olympic Games on TV and saw those great athletes who had exercised their muscles and practiced so long to be good enough to join in the Olympic Games.

Did you notice that the winners were always decided by COUNTING something? For runners and swimmers TIME was counted, for gymnasts and divers STYLE POINTS were counted, for jumpers and throwers DISTANCE was counted, and so on...

(Which quality was measured for cyclists, rowers, boxers, weight lifters, wrestlers, ........?)

I'm thinking now that it would be a good thing to do some games and exercising using my own COUNTING MUSCLES, during the summer vacation these muscles have been resting and I'd like to get them back up to speed for school in September. This is also a good game for boring times like long car rides and waiting in line.

Here's my COUNTING MUSCLES EXERCISE PLAN:

(You can choose any starting level you wish.)

KINDERGARTEN, FIRST GRADE, SECOND GRADE OR THIRD GRADE.

KINDERGARTEN

1. How many tails on a dog?
2. How many eyes has a cat?
3. How many points on a triangle?
4. How many legs on a horse?

FIRST GRADE

1. How many toes do you have?
2. How many feet do four children have?
3. How many wheels on a six-wheeler truck?
4. How many sides on a rectangle?

SECOND GRADE

1. How many rings on the Olympic flag?
2. What is the number of Billy Goats Gruff PLUS the troll?
3. How many beds did Goldilocks sleep in?
4. How many of each animal went into Noah's Ark?
