"Hot Money" Trick

You can make your friends think you have magical powers once you learn this simple trick and how it works!

Things You Will Need: Four or five pennies A flat surface (such as your desk or a table) A friend to impress with your powers!

What To Do:

• Place the pennies on a flat surface.
• Tell your friend to pick up one of the pennies while you are not looking at him or her.
• Now have your friend make a REALLY tight fist around the coin and shake the penny while counting to 50. After your friend counts to 50, he or she should be instructed to put the penny back with the others and tell you to turn around.
• Turn around and tell your friend that the coin that was just put back with the others is still vibrating (shaking) and that you can prove it by picking up the right penny.
• Touch each penny and then say "Is this your coin?", holding up the secret penny!

What is the Secret?:

When you touch each of the pennies, one of them will feel warmer than the others. That's the magic coin! Copper is a super conductor of heat and the penny your friend held will have been warmed by his/her body heat while it was held tightly for the count of 50!
