Parabolic metal airfoil, span = 3 inches, chord = 1.5 inches.

The piece sticking out is a hook, used, presumably, to attach the foil to a stand in the wind tunnel.

This is one of a collection of thirty-eight original model airfoils used in the December 1901 wind tunnel investigations. In the collection, the object is number "54," as the numbers are not sequential.
