The  Zunis  Tribe

The Zunis tribe is located  in Western New Mexico in  a  very hot desert. That’s when their home’s  come in very handy. They are made in layers, one  on top of the other. That way that way they all had two layers of  roof. The floor of the other house and their roof.That way no sun could  get in. Thier houses were called pueblos. Thier homes had a ladder which they     pulled up at night so nobody  could break in. 
 

   Their jobs 

The women cooked,the men hunted,the girls helped the moms sometimes,and the boys gathered firewood and helped hunt. 
 

   Interesting facts 

The Zunis believed that the underworld was dark and scary until they discovered fire.They made dolls called kachinas. Every kachina represents something.Before the summer,people would do rain dances so they would  get enough rain. Boys hunted with sling shots.
